At
1.4 million cases annually and rising, skin
cancer is an epidemic. We advocate
a three-part strategy
to combat skin cancer: surveillance, treatment,
and prevention. Surveillance takes the form
of skin care examinations—both by you and
by us. Treatment options for skin cancer include
prescription
creams, destruction, and surgical removal.
Prevention is achieved primarily by sun protection
strategies,
but also consists of treatment of pre-cancerous
growths with cryotherapy, medications, or laser
resurfacing. |
